Job description

As an Application Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, collaborating with R&D engineers to develop new solutions. Your responsibilities will span from field testing to product rollout, ensuring the technology exceeds expectations in various industries. With a passion for problem-solving and customer satisfaction, you'll engage with key stakeholders, present cutting-edge conditioning technologies, and provide expert guidance every step of the way.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with R&D engineers to develop and test new solutions
  • Share valuable field insights to enhance product performance and market acceptance
  • Conduct plant visits and leverage customer contacts to drive success
  • Deliver compelling presentations to technical contacts at key accounts
  • Provide recommendations and implementation guidelines tailored to each application
  • Engage with regional OEMs on technical matters and training initiatives
  • Stay abreast of competitive technologies and market trends
  • Support sales teams in implementing and troubleshooting solutions
  • Utilize PLCs, HMIs, motors, and variable frequency drives in equipment operation
  • Assist in technical audits and optimization projects
  • Interface with implementation teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Collaborate with sales and technical support teams to address inquiries and issues promptly

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Experience in industrial applications, project management skills a plus
  • Strong self-management skills with a global team mindset
  • Technical proficiency and attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret CAD and Solidworks drawings
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Flexibility to travel up to 50% and work weekends/holidays as needed
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages advantageous

The company is one of the world's largest producers of modular synthetic conveyor belts. They have locations in the US, the Netherlands, Brazil, Japan, England, and Australia. Their head office in the Netherlands is in Amsterdam and they have had a location open up in Wehl in 2020 as well.
