Job description

Are you interested in solving both electrical, as well as software-related malfunctions for customers? Do you like using your mechatronic knowledge during your service visits? Then this vacancy is something for you! In this position, you are part of a 6-week cycle, where you are part of the malfunction service department. You will be responsible for fixing malfunctions in an adequate and expert manner. You receive the malfunction (by phone) and you help the client to fix the malfunction(s), by communicating with their local technical department. You check and you report whether it was successful. When you're not in the malfunction service department cycle, you will work as a mechatronics technician. You will be working in the electroproduction department and you will also be working on commissioning projects worldwide. Here your work consists of cabling a diverse array of machines and connecting different electrical components. During these commissioning trips, your work can be both mechatronic and software-related. Your challenge: As a Service Engineer, you combine mechatronic work on the electroproduction department with servicing customers worldwide and being part of the malfunction service department. This diverse role is what makes this position so challenging.

Requirements

  • A vocational degree in electronics or mechatronics;
  • A few years of experience with Siemens Step 7 and/or TIA Portal;
  • You can work solitary, are stress resistant, you have perseverance and you are flexible to work in a malfunction service department (24/7);
  • You are willing to spend a part of the year travelling internationally;
  • You are fluent in English, Knowledge in German is a plus;
  • You are willing to learn Dutch;
  • You are looking to move to the Netherlands for the long term.
